Located at 111 Gatewood Ave, High Point, NC 27262, Kid Smiles operates as a pediatric dentist serving High Point in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as dentist, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Kid Smiles at (336) 885-5437; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is kidsmilesdentist.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

I went there growing up with my brother and they were awful to both of us. Not only do they make you wait a century to be taken back but then the wait once you’re back there is worse. They don’t let parents go back there with kids- they are absolutely cruel and evil to children and scream at them. They don’t care about making the children feel safe or comfortable and tend to go vary sparingly pn numbing. They screamed at my brother when he was 6 because he was scared and cried and then one time had the nerve to threaten to restrain me to pull out a tooth when I was 8 and expressed that I was scared. Please don’t take your kids there.

My daughter has been a patient at this office since she was 2 years old, back when Dr. Rubio was here, she's now 16 and we've always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, my recent interactions with the front office have completely changed my opinion. Last week, I called to schedule my daughter's appointment after our insurance changed from Delta Dental to Medicaid because my husband was laid off. I explained that we no longer had Delta Dental and asked that it be removed from her file. Instead of simply updating the information, the conversation became unnecessarily argumentative. I was repeatedly told that Medicaid wouldn't pay if Delta Dental was still listed and that I needed to get a letter from Social Services proving we no longer had that insurance. I explained that my daughter's Medicaid was active and that I simply wanted to schedule her appointment. I was also told that if Medicaid didn't pay, I would be responsible for the balance. That wasn't my concern because I knew she had active coverage. After her cleaning, Brenda called me and spoke in a very condescending, "I told you so" manner because the claim had initially been rejected. What she failed to recognize is

First time taking my girls to this facility and it was a great one. My daughters were seen right after check in. The staff was not only friendly, but also quick and efficient. I would recommend this dental facility to any parents looking for a new dentist.

Ive only visited twice and although the dentists and hygienists are nice and works well with children, this office has rescheduled my appointments both times. My first visit in 2025, my son appointment was scheduled for a late morning/early afternoon, I received a call requesting I come at 6pm or reschedule due to their office β€œclosing” during the day. When I arrived, I sat in the waiting room for an hour, and another 20 minutes when I finally made it to the back. 2026, my son appointment was scheduled for March 20th, I received a call a few days before the appointment. I missed the call, and received a voicemail with a new appointment date and time. I called back and immediately let them know, they should not reschedule without speaking with me and was informed the next two days I was available to come in, their office was β€œclosed”. I was able to schedule an appointment on Good Friday, early afternoon and received a reminder call, also multiple reminder texts messages. 7:30am, the morning of my appointment, I received a call and the rep said β€œcan you come in sooner, our office will be closing early today”. I told them no, the time I scheduled is the time I can come in. I don’t pla

I absolutely love this dentist office. My oldest is 15 and my youngest is two and we have been going there since they were all babies. One of the few dentist offices left that allows you to go back and sit with your kids while they’re getting worked on which of course makes everything easier and I always make sibling appointments so I bring all my kids in and they set them all down and work on them at the same time I love that as well. It saves me time.!
